A thriving economy, endless entertainment opportunities,
and beautiful lakes, parks, and forests are just part of
what makes Minnesota a great place to live. Offering
sophisticated cities, charming small towns, and some of
the most breathtaking natural beauty in the country, it
is no surprise that more than 12,000 people moved to
Minnesota last year.
Every year, Minnesota ranks among the
best places to live in the United States. In
January 2014, Politico magazine ranked Minnesota one of the two best
states to live in; and in 2013, Money magazine ranked three Minnesota
cities among the 25 best places to live in the United States.
Minnesota’s economy is strong and growing. During the last three years, Minnesota
added over 150,000 new jobs, and currently enjoys one the lowest unemployment rates
in the country. Minnesota has the highest concentration of Fortune 500 companies in
the country, vital financial and medical technology industries, and food and agricultural
businesses that literally feed the world.
